3.1 – Freeze

Using fast shutter speeds, try to isolate a frozen moment of time in a moving subject. Depending on the available light you may have to select a high ISO to avoid visible blur in the photograph.

For this series I decided to stage something which I see a lot. My dog often drops her ball in my horses water barrel causing a big splash. Therefore, I decided to replicate this scene myself, my husband dropped the ball into the barrel whilst I took the shot. I used continuous shooting as well as a fast shutter speed of 1/2000.

I especially like the 3rd photo as it looks like a wave in the ocean.
